Prepress

Lake Region Printing’s prepress staff is the fine-toothed comb between the original file and the final copy. Prepress involves file conversion, checking that all fonts and images are in place, checking color format, proofreading, providing either a PDF or a colormatch proof for your approval, imposition (even if your document is 8.5” x 11”, it will most likely not be run on a sheet that size), and plate creation for the press.

In-house prepress takes the worry out of things like how to design for a book or trapping the colors in your file. We will stay in contact with you through every step of the process and won’t print anything until you’re satisfied with what you see in the proof. (Note: if your job is full-color, a colormatch proof MUST be reviewed in person and signed.)
